  We were in a rush (our problem) and as usual were looking for something big enough and in our budget, so we rented a house that was as close to what we needed in number of bedrooms as we could find. The house was substandard and needed work (it's on Winvelly, if you're in the area and looking for a house in Columbus GA). It needed work to be on the market period, but we were going out of town, so agreed to let them do the work while we were gone. But they didn't. We got back, needed plumbing guys to come back and fix the toilets and the gas lines. The back door didn't lock. The owner agreed to put a refrigerator in the kitchen and they bought one that was about ten inches too big for the space, so it sat in front of the stove top by a good 6 inches. The sink was not adhered to the counter top. Every time the maintenance guy came around, he left work garbage and his fast food bags and wrappers and cups behind. He left his hat once, as well. A week later, we asked to be let out of the lease and they agreed. We cleaned the place. We left the place cleaner than when we arrived, which wasn't a great feat as the place hadn't been cleaned in...who knows how long. Good riddance. And then we received our security deposit back... and it was well short of what we expected. Because they say we "broke the sink" (the sink wasn't glued down when we got there. it moved within the cutout of the countertop, which any carpenter knows--if it's done and installed correctly, isn't coming out or moving!), and we left our trash ($75 to pick up trash), and we left hand prints on the walls in one bedroom, so $100 to repaint that ONE bedroom. We called the utility company to disconnect and move our service to the new place we found, but were still charged $250 to "disconnect" utilities. Overall, worst experience ever with a rental company. I would avoid it and anyone who works under its umbrella. This company gets NO STARS.
